BUDDING archaeologist Sam Clark did exactly the right thing when he found what he thought was an Iron Age coin in his garden.
He sent his find (pictured) to Wessex Archaeology with a letter asking if experts could identify it.
Sadly, Sam forgot to send them his address or phone number.
“We have examined his exciting find and would love to tell him about it,” said education manager Margaret Bunyard. “But we need him to get in touch again.”
In his letter, Sam told the experts how much he admires archaeologist Phil Harding and loves to watch the Channel 4 show Time Team on TV.
Now Phil, who is always keen to encourage enthusiastic youngsters, would like to send him a signed photograph.
So if anyone knows Sam or his parents, please ask them to call 01722 326867 or email a.fitzpatrick@wessexarch.co.uk.
