SCIENTISTS at the Wessex Genetics Laboratory at Salisbury District Hospital have made a breakthrough in research into the causes of serious blood disorders.
They have identified a key gene that can lead to such disorders, which could lead to the development of new drugs.
The study, which was funded by the charity Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research, has been published in the journal Nature Genetics.
