STAFF in the Salisbury District Hospital education and training team have won the TABS Training Excellence Award at the South Wiltshire Business of the Year Awards.
The awards are sponsored by local businesses and organisations with each category judged and presented by the individual sponsors themselves.
In choosing the education team, TABS Training said that the Salisbury District Hospital team was forward thinking in its approach and ensured that every employee has access to literacy and numeracy training wherever it was required.
The judges also said that the team were always looking to improve upon what was an excellent service, which was so successful that it had been emulated throughout the country.
Janine Osmond, head of learning development at Salisbury District Hospital said: “We have a broad range of staff and it’s essential that they have access to high quality education and training for their job and for their own personal development. “Our education team has worked hard to develop comprehensive basic educational and training for staff that could benefit from it and we are pleased to see the team rewarded for their hard work and innovation.”
