KINDHEARTED rotarians have allocated funds to help the tens of thousands of people affected by flooding in Pakistan.

Aid organisation Unicef has estimated that the flooding, which is the worst of its kind in 80 years, has affected more than three million people and resulted in the deaths of about 1,400 people.

The Rotary Club of Amesbury has allocated £800 to purchase ten aquaboxes, which contain survival material and water filtration kits to provide 1,100l of drinkable water.

To donate funds to supply further boxes, send a cheque payable to the Rotary Club of Amesbury to John Haywood, 28 Earls Court Road, Amesbury, Wiltshire, SP4 7NB.
