RESIDENTS of Wiltshire care homes will be showing off their greenfingered efforts in a flower and vegetable show on August 11.
The Orders of St John Care Trust have 20 care homes in the area, including Buckland Court in Amesbury, which is where the show will be held.
Many of the homes have vegetable patches or mini allotments, which allow staff and residents to get their hands dirty and grow their own produce.
All entries will be judged by a panel consisting of representatives from Women’s Institutes and a local garden centre, with prizes given to the winners and trophies to this year’s garden competition winners.
The show will take place at Buckland Court at 2pm.
