A COLLEGE lecturer has set himself a series of challenges to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation after his father suffered a series of heart attacks.
Mike Dyer, who works at Wiltshire College Salisbury, invented the first challenge himself, which is a 50-mile hike across all three of the south west’s moors.
He will be embarking upon the Three Moors Challenge with his friend Peter Haskell during the October half term, tackling Bodmin Moor on the first day, Dartmoor on the second and Exmoor on the third day.
They will cover just over 50 miles over the three-day trip, with all funds raised going to the charity, which aims to play a leading role in the fight against diseases of the heart and circulation.
