A WOMAN was injured when a corn on the cob was thrown at her from a car being driven through Salisbury city centre.

The incident happened at about 1.20am on September 22 when the 20-year-old woman from Salisbury was walking along Fisherton Street.

The woman received an injury to her arm after being struck from behind by the uncooked vegetable, which was thrown from a Nissan Micra with four men inside.

The incident was one of a series in which corn was thrown at pedestrians from the car as it drove through the city centre.

The men were seen leaving the vehicle after parking it in Waitrose car park.
