A TEENAGE girl was offered money for sex while two others were grabbed by men in Salisbury’s Market Place.
In one incident two 15-year-old girls were approached by two men at about 1am on January 2. The men struck up a conversation before inappropriately touching the girls, who managed to get away.
A short time earlier, a 16-year-old girl was approached by two men as she walked across the Cheese Market towards the Market Place and offered money for sex but also managed to run away.
The men are both described as Asian. One was wearing a black coat and was quite tall, the other was wearing a white hoody.
Two men from London and North Oldham, aged 29 and 28 years were arrested on suspicion of sexual touching and later released on police bail pending further inquiries.
Sgt Jon Lee of Salisbury Police said: “These were very frightening and distressing experiences for the young girls who handled the situation well and then raised the alarm. I would urge anyone to come forward who has further information or saw the men described acting suspiciously.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Sgt Lee on 0845 4087000 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
