SIX lucky Scouts and their leaders will have front row seats at the royal wedding at the end of this month.

The group, from 4th Salisbury & ADC Scouts for Salisbury & South Wilts, were lucky enough to get tickets for the wedding procession around London at a prime spot on Pall Mall.

The Queen set aside 200 tickets for the Scout Association to watch the procession. Assistant leader David Hillier spotted it on Twitter, decided to apply and was given 15 tickets.

Ethan Mann, Tom Anders, Thomas Maule, Liam Herridge, Ewan Cochrane and Keong Foo, who are all aged between 11 and 14, were the lucky Scouts chosen on a first-come, first-served basis. They will be joined by leaders Mark Warner, David Hillier, Vanessa Mather and Julie King, as well as five Explorer Scouts from the Harnham unit.

They will be in full dress uniform, representing Scouting across the whole country.

David Hillier said: “We have been very lucky to get these, and it’s great that we will get to represent scouting at such an important event.”
