FUNERAL director I N Newman is expanding its business in Fordingbridge.

The company, which also has premises in Salisbury and Winterslow, has bought the building next door to its funeral parlour in High Street, Fordingbridge.

Ian Newman, who founded the business 24 years ago, runs it today with his wife, Jan and son, Mark.

The firm conducts more than 600 funerals a year.

Mr Newman said: “This new facility marks another important milestone in the ongoing success of I N Newman Ltd, as we continually strive to provide a professional and supportive service at a difficult time in the lives of our clients.”

NatWest in Salisbury provided £260,000 of funding to enable the purchase to go ahead.

Senior relationship manager Gary Hodgson said: “It’s always great to see a customer succeeding in its goals and we were thrilled to support this latest step for I N Newman Ltd.

“The company is an example of the results that hard work, a commitment to service and a reputation for delivering brings.”

Mr Newman said: “We are grateful for the support we have received from Gary and his team who worked quickly and efficiently to tight timescales. And working closely with our accountants Fawcetts in Salisbury meant the process was smooth, enabling me to focus on my business, which was my main priority.”
