PUPILS at Dinton Primary School raised £428 for Guide Dogs.
Children and staff organised a Scooterthon to raise money for the charity.
Guide Dogs volunteer Angela Emerson made a visit to the school with her guide dog Taggart as part of a school project on senses and what it is like to be blind.
She explained to pupils how a guide dog helps her in her life and spoke about how they are trained.
Youngsters decided that they wanted to help the cause, and took part in the sponsored scooter event to raise funds for the charity.
Children from Robins and Puffin classes brought in their own scooters and completed sponsored laps of the playground within the five minute time period.
Reception and Year 1 teacher Catherine Lewis said: “It was amazing how many laps they did. We are delighted with the amount of money we raised. The money will be given to a local branch and will go towards training a new puppy.”
