First special steam event of the season this Sunday

THE first special train event of the season steams into Moors Valley this Sunday.

The park’s popular narrow gauge railway will be holding a tank engine gala from 10.45am until 4.30pm.

Jim Haylock, the line’s general manager who built and opened the railway 25 years ago, said: “Subject to availability we shall be steaming all of our colourful engines on the day.”

The railway carried more than 100,000 passengers in 2011.
