POLICE had to close a Salisbury road on Thursday night as firefighters put out a chimney fire.
The fire broke out in the chimney of a house on Rampart Road at about 5.10pm. The occupier wasn’t home and firefighters had to force entry and deal with a large dog while they put the fire out.
The owner returned at 5.30pm and the fire service eft by 6.25pm.
