IT has been an emotional day, with a 5.45am start to be at the hospital.

Missy was slowly sent under with a relaxant at 6.45. Missy's op started at 7.30. It was so hard to say our goodbyes for four hours as she was out of my control. Dr TS Park is such an amazing man - so gentle and genuine.

We recieved a phone call every hour on the hour of Missy's progress and it was always positive, saying she is doing beautifully or great. This helped us get through the hardest time of our lives.

Next minute the door went and in came Dr TS Park saying the operation went fantastically well and that she was in recovery.

We waited a further 30 minutes before we could touch Missy. When the time came we walked round the corner and there was my princess, all snuggled and asking for her dummy and baby, thats my girl i thought.

The nurses told me to crawl up and snuggle into bed with her. We were just heading from recovery to the 12th floor when Missy was very sick bless her cottons.

I could see in her eyes she was scared and just needed lots of hugs. The epidural seems to be controling the pain, which is a great bonus.

We are as we speak on the 12th floor and looking out across the St Louis sky with Missy snoring away.

Just take a look at Missy walking with her walker for the first time (copy and paste the link!): http://www.facebook.com/#!/photo.php?v=3270277352493&set=o.256828817673523&type=3&theater
