GANGSTERS, prohibition and custard pie fights are immediately called to mind by the name Bugsy Malone.
And at St Edmund’s School the girls are making the most of the glamour and lawlessness of the 1920s with their production based on Alan Parker’s hit 1976 film starring Scott Baio and Jodie Foster.
Ninety girls, including a full choir and team of dancers are involved in the production as well as many staff and rehearsals have been on-going since September.
Rowena Greenaway, who’s directing, said: “The girls are doing marvellously and I’m very proud of what they’ve achieved with Bugsy.”
Curtain up is at 7.30pm from Wednesday to Friday and tickets are available from the school.
