CHILDREN at Fordingbridge Junior School learned about the sinking of the Titanic 100 years on.

Pupils made short films using modelling clay micro models of the Titanic to capture the sinking scene as part of Year 4’s Living History Day.

Throughout the day children took part in various activities, including the re enactment of the different classes of passengers.

Other children at the school were learning about another era in world history, donning golden headwear to study Ancient Egypt.

Year 3 pupils dressed like Egyptians for a day dedicated to hieroglyphics, pyramid building and a full-on feast Pharaoh-style.

Teacher Rachel Dickinson said: β€œIt was an absolutely wonderful day. Our new learning unit has been brought alive.”
