FARLEY Festival offers music lovers the opportunity to hear three first class pianists in a recital. The young Jordanian, Karim Said, has not only been the subject of a BBC documentary filmed in 2008 called Karim’s Journey, but is also a protégé of Daniel Barenboim.

Introducing his concert at Farley Church next Wednesday at 7pm with a pre-concert talk, the event is part of the pianist’s preparations for three recitals which will contribute to The Rest is Noise festival at London’s Southbank Centre next year. Said will performa programme to include works by Beethoven, Schubert and Schoenberg.

Next Thursday at the festival you can hear the young Japanese pianist, Aya Kawabata. The third recital by Benjamin Grosvenor (pictured right) next Friday has sold out.
