A CHEROKEE delegation visited Wilton House at the weekend to mark the 250th anniversary of the Emissaries of Peace journey to London in the eighteenth century.
The group have been recreating the journey made by Lieutenant Henry Timberlake's goodwill ambassadors in 1762.
The Cherokee delegation is led by representatives of the three federally recognised Cherokee tribes in the USA, the Cherokee Nation, the United Keetoowah Band of Cherokee Indians and the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians.
