I, TOO, feel devastated over the closure of the Salisbury Pet Stores.
What a loss this represents for their many long-standing customers, as well as for the pets who enjoyed their products.
Nonetheless, it consoles me somewhat to think they went out on a high. In my opinion, their last-ever window display was the best of all the Diamond Jubilee window dressings in Salisbury.
Who will forget that lovely pets’ streetparty, with a toy bulldog hosting a medley of other animals from the head of a table laden with luscious-looking petfood, and union jacks forming the decoration on all sides?
I am proud to have photos of the scene to add to my mementoes of June 2012.
