LARKHILL Choral Society’s summer concert on Saturday was themed on English composers and formed part of the village’s Jubilee celebrations. Featuring works by Elgar, Stanford and Vaughan Williams, the choir was conducted by Peter Ford. Baritone Samuel Hancock was guest soloist for the evening. A former boy chorister at Westminster Abbey, Hancock has sung at a number of state occasions and is a recipient of the Peter Pears prize for singing.
