TWENTY-two young people from Cape Town, who first came to Salisbury as part of the larger Fezeka school choir in 2008 and sung in one of Salisbury Festival’s events, return to the city on Monday, July 9.

Now called The Fezeka Choir, the young people have remained together since 2008 and, led by Phume Tsewu, they have been brought to the UK by Welsh charity the Donald Gordon Foundation to participate in a project in the Welsh Valleys.

The Fezeka Choir will perform a concert in St Thomas’ Church with Salisbury Community Choir. The concert is free with an appeal for funds for the Fezeka Scholarship Fund which helps support disadvantaged young South Africans escape poverty by studying at university.
