SCULPTOR Ben Dearnley’s bronze and marble sculptures of Olympians and Paralympians are currently on show in the Cloisters of Salisbury Cathedral. Andin the gallery space of Sarum College, you can see the sculptor’s ink drawings (pictured below) which are preparations for the sculptures. These works, which are for sale, are complete artworks and are well worth taking a look at. There is also a bust of Ben’s father, Christopher Dearnley, who was a director of music at the cathedral and who sadly died just a few months after the bust was completed.
This bust is also part of the exhibition, which runs alongside the cathedral exhibition until September 15.
