Co-op shopper help community groups
8:00am Sunday 15th July 2012 in News By Morwenna Blake
SHOPPERS at The Co-op food stores in Amesbury have helped three local groups secure a share of £1,000.
The supermarkets introduced a coin scheme earlier this year and asked members to place a plastic disc in one of three collection boxes dedicated to different causes each time they shopped, with the £1,000 prize fund now being split proportionately between them.
The scheme was run in the Redworth House, Boscombe Road, Archers Gate and Mid Summer Place stores.
Home Start South Wiltshire will get £390; Amesbury and Boscombe Down Link Scheme, £310; and 1st Amesbury Girls Brigade, £300.
