POLICE have confirmed that the pilot of a light aircraft that crashed near Salisbury this afternoon was killed in the accident.
The aircraft crashed in a field in Clarendon at 4.20pm and the emergency services are at the scene.
The male pilot was the only person on board and no one else was injured.
The identity of the man, who is not thought to be local, has yet to be confirmed.
