Chance to see Fat Lady in Ringwood

A BOOKSHOP and cafe in Ringwood are teaming up again to offer people the chance to meet a TV star.

Clarissa Dickson Wright, one of TV’s Two Fat Ladies, will be appearing at Paperview and Seven Fish to talk about her new book, Clarissa’s England.

In the book, in which she takes the reader through the country with a series of interesting facts, she reveals, for example, how Boudicca was the original Essex girl, that Lincolnshire has a coriander crop second only in size to India's, and just why a Cornish pasty should never contain carrots.

From 4pm on Tuesday, September 25 she will be having afternoon tea at Seven Fish in Southampton Road before nipping round to Paperview bookshop in Christchurch Road to meet everyone and sign copies of the book. Tickets for the event are available at Paperview for £6, which includes afternoon tea and a £3 voucher, redeemable against a book purchase on the day.
