VINTAGE cars, miniature engines, terrier racing and a dog show were among the highlights which attracted hundreds of people to Verwood Rustic Fair on Bank Holiday Monday.
The event, run by the town's Rotary Club, once again took over Potterne Park and visitors were offered a rich mixture of traditional country pursuits and|attractions.
This year saw multiple arena events including a display from Adams Axe Men, Three Cross Dog Agility and antics from Andy the Clown.
The terrier racing has proved very popular over the years with scores of residents putting forward their prize pooches.
The Riverside Jazzers and Verwood Concert Brass|performed, and refreshment stalls did a roaring trade.
Event organiser Vern Harris said: "This has been a year of note, with the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and the Olympic Games on home shores, we have had a lot to live up to.
"The fair saw a mix of old favourites and items new, which hopefully offered something for everyone."
