Family devastated by Donhead burglary

BURGLARS broke into a house in Donhead St Andrew on Monday, rummaging through a family’s belongings and stealing jewellery with sentimental value.

The thieves forced their way in through a window at the back of the house in Brook Hill between 2.45pm and 4pm.

The owner of the house, who asked not to be named, said: “It looks like a bomb has hit our home.”

“I’m still in absolute shock and I’m struggling to come to terms with what’s happened. My jewellery, which has been taken, is not particularly valuable but is of great sentimental value.

“We’re still trying to figure out exactly what else they took.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact the police on 101.
