THE people of Tisbury have a new community bus.
The Tisbus scheme now has a 16-seater vehicle to provide transport for disabled and elderly people to help them maintain their independence and get to appointments.
The bus takes people to hospitals, doctor’s appointments and shopping, and also provides a school run service.
Fundraising provided a large proportion of the cost of the new bus, and sponsors include Wiltshire Council and the Garfield Western Foundation; a grant-giving charity for UK registered charities.
The service has been running for more than 10 years.
