Walk for Alzheimer's Society

A CHARITY marathon walk to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society is setting off from Stonehenge on Sunday.

Walkers will be meeting at 7.30am, for an 8am start, to take part in Memory Walk Marathon South, the charity’s annual fundraising event.

The event will take walkers on a 26-mile walk through more than 6,000 years of British history, starting at Stonehenge and finishing at the standing stone circles of Avebury.

Walkers have until Friday to sign up for the event at alzheimers.org.uk/mwsouth but anyone who would like to support the charity by taking on a smaller challenge is able to register free at memorywalk.org.uk for their local Memory Walk.
