FOLLOWING the success of this year’s Jubilee concert in Amesbury, town leaders are considering holding a similar event next year.

The concert, which was a collaboration between the town’s football and cricket clubs and the town council, saw several local bands take to the stage at Bonnymead Park and was described as a great success.

Councillors agreed that the first weekend in June, after the town’s carnival, would be an ideal time to hold the concert.

Town councillor Chris Burden warned that the event took a lot of planning and organisation and further meetings will be held to discuss it.
