ANIMAL rescue specialists were called in earlier today to rescue a frightened fawn that had found its way into the river by the Maltings.
The muntjac deer is believed to have been standing in the same spot since the early hours of this morning, too scared to move.
Rescue teams were called in and the animal was freed just after noon.
