A NEW indoor soft play area has been officially opened in Larkhill .

The Space Station, on the site of the former Londis Shop, was opened by Larkhill Garrison’s deputy commander Lieutenant Colonel John Le Feuvre.

It has a coffee shop and a party room to cater for functions, as well as several space-themed play areas.

Owner Helen Culwick said: “I am so happy about the play area finally being off the ground. I felt that I had achieved my goal when I stood and watched the children with big smiles on their faces, shouting with excitement and running around laughing.

“Being able to come here as a family will help to take away the stresses and strains of everyday living and it also gives adults the opportunity to meet new people from different walks of life, while making the most of the free wifi and the luscious cake.

“I am also looking forward to meeting new people for now and years to come.”
