Showgoers admire the veg at Verwood and District Horticultural Society's autumn show.
THE hall was filled with an amazing blaze of colourful plants, flowers, fruit and vegetables for Verwood and District Horticultural Society’s autumn flower and produce show, in spite of the poor summer.
The homecraft entries were also plentiful, with jars of jam, chutneys, quiches and cakes.
The results were as follows: Trophies Banksian Medal for the most points in flowers, fruit and vegetables, John Crout.
Verwood Traders Challenge Cup. Most points in flowers, vegetables and fruit, Bill Howarth.
The Roberts Cup. Most points flowers and pot plants, Bill Howarth.
