FUN in the great outdoors is what an upcoming event in Bulford is all about.

Susan Allen of Wiltshire Wildlife Trust’s new Generation Plain project has planned a day of outdoor activities for children and adults alike to have adventures outside while learning more about the natural environment.

She said: “When it comes to having fun, there is no better place than outside. No matter what your age, I’ll be providing something fun for everyone so they can have a great day of exploration. We’ll be geo-cashing, secret story-telling, and finding out who has won our Kiwi Competition. We may or may not need raincoats and wellington boots, but we are going to have a great day with plenty to see and do.”

The day is to celebrate the launch of the Generation Plain project, and activities will include face painting, bush craft, den building and bug hunting.

Based around the Salisbury Plain area, the project provides opportunities for families and the local community to explore and enjoy the natural environment and encourages military families and civilians to develop a sense of community.

The event will be held at the Kiwi School on Saturday, September 29 from 10am to 2pm.
