PUPILS from Leehurst Swan School learned all about life during the Iron Age and Roman times during a school trip to Butser Ancient Farm near Petersfield, Hampshire.

The children from Year 4 saw rare breed animals and took part in various workshops including daubing, chalk carving and Celtic jewellery making.

They visited the Roman Villa and made their own mosaic designs and were shown how the Romans used under floor heating systems to warm their villa.

Year 4 returned to school with their jewellery, chalk carving and souvenirs to remind them of their day at Butser Ancient Farm.
