Charity director stands down
THE director of a charity that funds research into aids that assist people with spinal cord injury is retiring after 14 years.
Robert Morgan, who steps down from his role at INSPIRE Foundation on September 28, was presented with a watercolour picture of Salisbury Cathedral , painted by Clive Pryke, a patron of the charity, at its recent annual general meeting.
During the meeting, a talk was given by Robin Gibbons, who has been working on an INSPIRE-funded project at Brunel University for electrically stimulated rowing for people suffering the effects of spinal cord injury to improve overall fitness, muscle bulk and circulation.
Rory Steevenson, a retired soldier, will be taking over as director at the end of the month.
