Firefighters tackle run wearing full kit

Firefighters Pete Clarke and Pete White from Fordingbridge get ready to run the New Forest Half Marathon.
TWO Fordingbridge firefighters donned their uniform and breathing apparatus to take part in the New Forest half marathon.
Pete Clarke and Pete White formed part of Team Jim, from St Mary’s fire station in Southampton, raising money for the Firefighters Charity and in memory of firefighter Jim Shears who died in the Shirley Towers fire in April 2010.
Mr White, who writes the Journal’s Hot Off the Press column, said: “Even in the horrible wet weather we all managed to get round in under two and a half hours.”
