Fordingbridge Bowling Club capped off an enjoyable season with a shiny piece of silverware.

The Fordingbridge A Team won the Ringwood Shield in the New Forest Bowling Association League Competition, a knockout contest played over the last three weeks of the season.

Its top team are also celebrating, having won promotion to Division One of the Bournemouth and District Premier League.

The bowls club was formed in 1927. It has its own bar and holds a variety of social events.
