A TOUCH of glamour came to Salisbury this week for the city’s second annual fashion week.

The glittering launch event of Salisbury Fashion Week 2012 took place on Thursday evening at Salisbury Arts Centre, where a number of local fashion retailers showcased their autumn/winter collections on the catwalk.

The event was organised by JAS Hair Group and Ladies who Love...Events, in association with Spire FM, the Salisbury Journal and Damsels in Success, and was sponsored by Allum and Sidaway, Hox Brasserie, Westover Group, Da Vinci’s Restaurant and Addison design.

It aims to support local retailers and provide an opportunity for them to show off their wares in an action-packed week of events. This year the organisers were raising funds for the Spire FM Trust, a fundraising and grant giving body set up to support the local community.

A number of shops and businesses hosted their own events including Joules, East, Hana Rebdi Boutique, The Strawberry Fox, Regent Tailoring, Born to Knit, Casa Fina, Jigsaw, Nikita Sablier, 75 New Street Studios, The Textile Loft, Mistral and Parkwood Health & Fitness.

And Allum & Sidaway hosted a Champagne A/W Collections Launch on Saturday and Monday.
