A LETTINGS manager from East Gomeldon was crowned winner of Come Dine With Me in Salisbury last week.

Natasha Conti, 24, was first to host a dinner party for life model Jane Arnold, 50, self-confessed penny pincher Chris Hiller, 29, tarot card reader Anthony Brown-Hovelt, 57, and Sophie McConnell, 27, farm manager at Cholderton Charlie’s Farm.

The show, which sees amateur cooks compete to host the best dinner party in a bid to win £1,000, was filmed in Salisbury in June and the five episodes were aired on Channel 4 last week.

“I’m not an amazing cook but I find cooking fairly easy. It was a really, really good experience and I would definitely do it again,” said Miss Conti, who said she spent her prize money within a matter of days.

Throughout the week, the show focussed on fellow contestant Mr Hiller’s attempts to impress Miss Conti.

But Mr Hiller, who spent less than £20 on food and drink for his dinner party on the fourth night, failed to woo his guests with peppers stuffed with baked beans, dry chicken with orange and marmalade, and watered down wine.

“Chris’ meal was ridiculous, said Miss Conti. “He’s obviously not a cook.”
