New manager for Almshouse New manager for Almshouse

A SALISBURY almshouse has appointed a new warden manager.

Jayne Bellamy is taking over from Janet Street, who has retired after eight years of service with Salisbury City Almshouse & Welfare Charities, at Robert Stokes Almshouse.

Ms Bellamy is a qualified nurse and will lead a team dedicated to supporting residents at the sheltered almshouse in the city centre, who benefit from 24-hour warden support and a lunchtime meal.

The charity manages 189 warden assisted flats in and around Salisbury for residents ranging in age from 60 to 104.
