JuNK band are anything but rubbish
1:00pm Sunday 7th October 2012 in News
JuNK, featuring the New Forest's Jake Briggs, Russell Brooks, Sam McGowan and Jay Osborne.
A GROUP of Fordingbridge friends are taking the country by storm and recycling to a new level with their UK tour of musical theatre – using old rubbish.
Sandleheath lads Russell Brooks, Sam McGowan, Jay Osborne and Jake Briggs, from Bournemouth, are better known as JuNk – a four-piece theatre production who are drumming, singing and dancing across the country on their four-month And Then There Were 4 tour.
Old tins, brushes, bits of steel and old barrels provide the material for the group’s fast-paced show of music and comedy.
The friends met on the Performing Arts course at Brockenhurst College in 2005 and formed JuNk in 2009.
Sam added: “We met at college and created our dream together.”
JuNk are performing at the Barrington Theatre in Ferndown on October 12 at 7.30pm. Go to junkofficial.com or email admin@junkofficial.com.
