Badger Day at Harnham Slope
THE Friends of Harnham Slope and Wiltshire Council’s Rights of Way & Countryside Team organised a badger walk and talk at Harnham to mark Badger Day. Ecologist Martin Noble gave a fascinating insight into the lives of badgers, and everyone who attended the event learnt a lot about the lives of these elusive animals.
• The next event at the slope will be a planting day to be held on October 27. People are asked to bring trowels or bulb planters if they can, and to meet at the Harnham Sports and Social Club off Parsonage Green at 2pm.
