Interfaith
The Cathedral Education Centre is currently employed in its second round of interfaith work.
A small grant was awarded by the Community Development Foundation earlier this year, for the Centre to work with children and their families, looking at the social and cultural aspects of different faith groups and encouraging learning together as a family.
Representatives from the Jewish and Islamic faiths have already enjoyed two evenings at nearby Woodlands Primary School.
Year 4 pupils and their families heard about Judaism from Jane Silver-Coren, and Year 6 welcomed Hassan Morrison for a session on the Islamic faith.
Four more evenings are planned for next term with Buddhism, Sikhism, Christianity and Hinduism as the faiths to be explored.
