A CARNIVAL themed hair show will showcase the talents of hairdressing students from Wiltshire College Salisbury today.

This is the second year that the students have hosted Aspire Live, which also raises money for the Stars Appeal Breast Cancer Unit.

Salisbury District Hospital is trying to raise £750,000 for a dedicated breast cancer unit through the appeal.

The show has been organised entirely by the eight students and three apprentices, who are all studying the Level 3 course, and gives them the opportunity to exhibit their work to members of the public as well as their friends and family.

Taking place in the Performing Arts Theatre at the Salisbury campus on Tuesday, May 19, the students will present a variety of creative themed hair styles following the carnival theme.

Hayley said: “The students have worked very hard to arrange this and raise as much money as they can.

“They have already held a cake sale, a baked bean bath and carried out bag packing at our local Tesco, to date raising more than £400.

“They are now really looking forward to the grand finale hair show and showcasing their talents.”

Tickets cost £2.50 and are available from the Aspire Salon at College, by calling the salon on 01722 344348 or emailing Hayley.prescod@wiltshire.ac.uk.
