AT Salisbury Hospice we provide exceptional end of life care.
This is delivered through a number of multidisciplinary teams who go the extra mile to care for our patients and their families.
Working as a nurse specialist in the Community Palliative Care Team at Salisbury Hospice is a challenging but hugely rewarding job.
Alongside colleagues within the hospice, GPs, district nurses and other community teams our aim is to support patients and their families at home.
My role is very much about enabling and supporting people to make decisions that are right for them at a time in life where they may well be feeling disenabled in many ways.
As well as advice on symptom control my aim is to support people with the psychological aspects of living with or being with someone who has a life limiting illness.
It gives me great personal and professional satisfaction to know that in these often difficult and distressing times I may be of some help and support in helping people make the right choices for them as individuals and to live their life as fully as
possible.
