A VETERAN runner from Porton completed his 12th Great North Run and raised £1,200 for charity.
George Parker, 74, completed the run in two hours and 16 minutes, which was two minutes faster than last year.
He raised £1,200 to help those with Motor Neurone Disease by going door to door in Porton collecting sponsorship from his neighbours.
