A SCHOOL in Salisbury has signed up to take part in a charity world record breaking attempt for the most people signing and singing at the same time.
On February 8 next year, students from Leaden Hall will be taking part in sign2sing, which has been organised by SignHealth, the national healthcare charity for deaf people.
Earlier this year, 94,489 children took part in SignHealth’s sign2sing 2011 event which broke the previous Guinness World Record of 13,418 children.
Steve Powell, chief executive of SignHealth, said: “News of the event is already spreading rapidly and we are hoping to smash our current record and involve more than 150,000 youngsters, while also raising awareness of deafness and the work we are doing at SignHealth.”
