A CANCER patient who held a charity ball to help others battling the disease has raised £5,452.
Jenny Hunt arranged the Pembroke Ball which was held at The Inn at High Post last September.
The event attracted 300 people and Jenny decided to split the proceeds between Cancer Research UK and the Stars Appeal Pembroke Unit Fund.
“I really wanted to show my gratitude for the care and support I’ve been receiving on the Pembroke Unit,” she said.
“Friends, family and neighbours have all been so generous and I’m pleased that we’ve been able to give such a big cheque to the Pembroke Unit Fund. We’re organising another ball later this year and will continue to do whatever we can to support them.”
