A THREE-day cycle ride in France which covered 700 miles has raised £600 for the Salisbury and District Multiple Sclerosis branch.

Adam Batty, whose father had MS, and three of his friends from Fordingbridge, Steve Godden, Tony Beck and Laurence Seward, cycled from St Malo to Cahors.

Chairman Jenny Gee said: “The committee would like to thank all of them for taking on such a feat and for thinking about the local MS Branch.

“Their hard earned donation will go towards the continuation of the hydrotherapy sessions the branch runs.”

The Salisbury and District MS branch is holding its annual meeting on Saturday, April 14 at 12.30pm at the Salvation Army Hall in Salisbury.

The branch is also looking for a new branch chairman.
